Mint Chocolate Chunk Quest Bar

I didn’t even intend to try the Mint Chocolate Chunk Quest Bar. The flavor combination is fine, but there are better things to do with chocolate. However, having tried every single other flavor, completism overcame me and I ordered a box.

Mint Chocolate Chunk Quest Bar

The official description from Quest’s website:

“Love at first bite! Irresistible mint and decadent chocolate finally meet in the latest protein-packed Quest Bar! 20g of protein, this double-dose of deliciousness is a #CheatClean delight!”

It’s a chocolate protein bar with mint and chocolate cookie chunks. This is what it looks like:

Mint Chocolate Chunk Quest Bar, no wrapper

Sweet, moderately chocolaty, and a mint flavor from the green bits scattered throughout.

The main chocolate bar part is soft and chewy, the cookie pieces are crunchy, and the mint bits have a chocolate consistency.

Serving size: 60 g
Calories: 190
Fat: 9 g
Net carbohydrate: 4 g (less than 1 g sugar)
Fiber: 15 g
Protein: 20 g

(Weights of Quest Bars can vary quite a bit, leading to significantly different caloric content than stated on the label. I did a write-up here.)

Perhaps it was because I walked into this expecting to be disappointed, but I was surprised how much I liked it. All the parts come together well—the crackliness of the mint bits and the crunch of the cookie chunks break up the main chewiness nicely, and the flavor balance is excellent. I was glad the mint wasn’t overpowering.

Mint Chocolate Chunk Quest Bar Rating: 8/10

I enjoyed this bar far more than I thought I would, and I can see it becoming a staple order. All my Quest Bar reviews are so positive I’m afraid I’m beginning to look like a shill, but the fact is all their bars are just that good.

Cheapest Places to Buy

Supplement shops are very expensive comparatively, so I always buy online.

I find Amazon consistently has the cheapest price now. If you’re in the UK you can buy at (about £20 for a box of 12 at time of writing).

If you’re in America, you’re lucky—they cost way less for you guys. You can buy at Quest’s website ($24.99 for box of 12 at time of writing).

Actually, even if you’re in the UK you could do worse than ordering off the Quest website above. Their shipping is cheap and fast, and the price works out about the same, funnily enough. Cheaper if it goes straight through customs tax-free, which sometimes happens.
