The title of this picture is Gray Memorism.
This variation gave me trouble. I made the original, then the apricot version came quickly and naturally. But getting a black and white of either of those to work was unusually difficult. I got one done, but later took it down from here because it was too flat. For about a year this was one of my only pictures with no grayscale version.
However, with my recent overhaul of the two color iterations I found a way to get it done. Not really because of the changes to those ones, more that I tried something that didn’t occur to me those months ago. Namely: sometimes not trying to maximize contrast in a black and white is better (which was a surprising discovery).
