The title of this picture is Rook Black, and it’s a composition originally drafted on the way to Fugue Mechanics.
Actually, I didn’t immediately realize as I wrote this, but the shell composition is exactly that of Fugue Mechanics, albeit mirrored.
It’s rare I’ll reuse exact elements of other images (besides base photos), I generally like to make each unique. But the overall composition here brings something new to the shell collage.
The color version is named Rook.
