Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Blue art photo of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, by Joseph Westrupp.

Title: The Bisection of Saigon.

Shot taken from the viewing lounge of one of the tall buildings in Ho Chi Minh City.

I like the aesthetics of Saigon (the old name for the place) better in the title so I decided to use that instead. ‘The bisection of Ho Chi Minh City’ doesn’t have the same ring.

The thing doing the bisecting is the Saigon River.

Despite significant barriers—like reflections in the glass, crowds of people, and structural impediments to the view—sometimes it’s possible to take a successful shot from a tourist viewing platform.
