Title: Ninh Binh River.
It’s hard to say whether this is a rice paddy field, or part of the actual river. For the sake of distinguishing it from Ninh Binh, I went with river.
Interesting area regardless, and very different to the countryside of anywhere I’ve lived. Rice is such an integral part of life in Vietnam that huge areas are dedicated to its production. To traverse these areas without waders they build banks.
This photo has a lot of added color—the untouched photo is pretty much just gray. The place was cold, and perpetually overcast if not misty, and the cool blue helps convey that.
