Title: Halo Three.
I used this skull first in Man Vs Shark, a very different type of image.
(Or is it? Maybe they’re indistinguishable from the outside. From my perspective there’s a lot of ground between them, with Man Vs Shark more aiming toward presenting the illusion of a real photo, albeit surreal, and this one more abstract.)
The skull is from a public domain photo.
I prefer to use photographs I’ve taken myself, but that’s the perennial problem with skull photography—the subject matter is in short supply. Maybe I should have befriended a mortician.
It’s a minor quibble, though. My work is such that the chance of seeing the like anywhere else is minimal.
This is the third of six color variations (numbers four, five, and six of which also having an alternative crop and line layout).
- Halo One: tan and green
- Halo Two: blue and red
- Halo Four: tan and dark blue
- Halo Five: tan and light blue-green
- Halo Six: black and white
