Title: No Lifeguard on Duty.
This was taken as the sun began to set spectacularly during a drive on the Pacific Coast Highway in LA. It looked so amazing that stopping wherever possible and digging out the camera became a sudden priority. This place at Newport Beach was the nearest (and oddly empty).
Ironic it doesn’t look like a sunset photo, but that’s deliberate. Because as amazing as sunsets are in person, traditional sunset photos are uninspiring to me. In fact, I think I’ve only ever done one, and that was commissioned for a wedding invitation.
